Today the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan had a telephone conversation with Nino Lomjaria, the Public Defender of Georgia on the rights of Armenian drivers, wishing to import cars with right side wheel form Georgia to Armenia.
The Defender deliver his counterpart about the concerns of drivers, according to which the expiry date of transit numbers of the cars they bought had passed and they had been required by the Georgian authorities to take the cars out of the country, otherwise they will be fined.
Nino Lomjaria conveyed her readiness to Arman Tatoyan to provide legal assistance to the drivers.
She noted that Armenian citizens, while in Georgia, can apply to the Public Defender with regard to their rights via 1481 hotline.
The Public Defender’s Office is instructed accordingly.
