A citizen with disability applied for the Human Rights Defender’s support for allocating him a separated parking spot for unhindered parking of his car in the residential building’s yard.
As stated by the applicant, he returns home from work at the evening hours, which occasionally create obstacles to parking his car. Besides, due to the mobility limitations, he is not able to park his car in the adjacent building’s yard as well, because in that case additional difficulties arise for climbing the stairs to reach his apartment.
Within the framework of the discussion procedure initiated at the Office of the Human Rights Defender, the issue raised by the citizen received a positive solution. As a result of the official letters addressed to the state bodies, relevant road marking works were conducted by the Traffic Police Service of the RA Police following the Yerevan Municipality’s request.
