A citizen applied to the Human Rights Defender to resolve the issues related to receiving the pension.
According to the applicant, he/she got pension from 2013 and in 2017 received a notice from the State Social Security Service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, according to which the workbook's records that the applicant presented and the references of social payments did not substantiate the latter’s work experience. As a result, the service reduced the work experience of the citizen and, consequently, the pension. At the same time, the citizen was informed that the more paid 200,000 AMD should be transferred to the Treasury account.
Based on the complaint, the Defender’s Office initiated an investigation, corresponding letters were sent to the competent state bodies, as a result of which additional examinations were carried out.
With the Defender’s support, the period of work experience of the person who filed the complaint was restored, 200,000 AMD was not transferred to the Treasury account, moreover, the citizen received the rest of the pension that was not paid around a year as a result of a mistake.
