The strike led by both pupils and teachers at the secondary school in Avshar village of Ararat Province is under the Human Rights Defender’s attention.
Given that these events eventually restrict children’s right to education, upon the Defender’s special assignment, the Head of Child Rights Protection Unit and the Head of Division for Protection of Rights in Criminal Justice were dispatched to the secondary school of Avshar to examine the situation on the spot.
With regard to the school, complaints were addressed to the Defender, and today a call was received informing of an incident had taken place at the school, as a result of which police officers visited the school.
The results of the visit will follow.
