Yesterday, on 18 January, the representatives of the Human Rights Defender had private conversations with Armen Bilyan, Smbat Barseghyan, Hovhannes Harutyunyan and Arayik Khandoyan in Prison Hospital and Nubarashen Penitentiary Institutions. Their health situation and medical documents were examined during the visits.
After the end of hunger strike, Smbat Barseghyan eats food in accordance to the prescribed diet, which has also been checked by the specialist of the Defender's Office. He is at stationary medical care division of Nubarashen Penitentiary Institution and his health condition is satisfactory.
During the private conversation with Arayik Khandoyan it was revealed that he has some pains in kidneys afther surgery but he receivs painkillers. A. Khandoyan is at stationary medical care division of Nubarashen Penitentiary Institution.
Hovhannes Harutyunyan is also at stationary medical care division of Nubarashen Penitentiary Institution. His medical documents, health situation and detention conditions have also been examined.
Armen Bilian receives rehabilitative treatment at the Prison Hospital Penitentiary Institution. Laboratory-instrumental examinations are being conducted towards him, his health condition is satisfactory.
Within the unannounced visit the representatives of the Human Rights Defender had private conversations with other persons deprived of their liberty in the mentioned penitentiary institutions, who appealed to the Defender and examined their detention conditions and documents.
