Tunisian guests, who examine the experience of the Defender's Office, visited Yerevan No. 1 nursing home

Today, Deputy-President of National Authority for the Prevention of Torture of the Republic of Tunisia Nabiha Kefi Ep Badri and Secretary General Dhiaeddine Mourou, who are on a two-week visit to Armenia, visited Yerevan No. 1 nursing home accompanied by the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan.

 

The Defender presented to his Tunisian colleagues the working methods and principles that the Office’s representatives apply during their unannounced visits.

 

They walked around the territory, got familiarized with the activities carried out to solve the issues recorded by the Defender's Office and talked with the persons in care about their problems.

 

As a reminder, the Council of Europe has recognized the methods and principles of RA Human Rights Defender’s activities as the best among European countries, and the representatives of the National Center for Human Rights of the Kingdom of Morocco have already visited Armenia for the purpose of examining the experience of the Defender’s Office and introducing it into their country.

 

A visit from Bosnia and Herzegovina is also expected in the future.
