The question on organizing Aram Hakobyan’s medical examinations at a civil hospital was raised

On the same day of publication of information about Aram Hakobyan’s health condition, representatives of the Human Rights Defender paid a rapid response visit to Prison Hospital penitentiary institution.

During the visit, the representatives had a private conversation with Aram Hakobyan, and matters related to securing his health condition, as well as his medical documents were examined.

Considering the results of the visit and conducted examinations, the Human Rights Defender finds that Aram Hakobyan needs to undergo additional, including instrumental, examinations at a civil hospital, in order to determine the course of medical treatment and the need for intervention.

A respective written statement on organizing the necessary medical examinations and, accordingly, Aram Hakobyan’s treatment at a civil medical institution has already been sent to RA Ministry of Justice.

The Human Rights Defender’s Office is also in contact with Aram Hakobyan’s advocates.
