The Defender’s report on the issues recorded in psychiatric establishments was published in three languages.

The Defender’s ad hoc report on “On Ensuring Rights of Persons with Mental Health Problems in Psychiatric Organizations” published in 2018 has been printed in Armenian, English and Russian.

It is envisaged to send the report to competent state bodies, including the National Assembly and the Government, NGOs of the field, as well as international partners.

3 criminal cases were initiated based on the Defender’s ad hoc report and the Minister of Healthcare approved an action plan to address the issues presented in the report.

The Human Rights Defender's Office also carries out necessary activities to implement the recommendations of the report (preparing relevant legislative drafts, working with international organizations, etc.).
