Today the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan had an official visit to Gegharkunik marz (region). During the visit the Defender and the representatives of his staff met with the governor of Gegharkunik marz Rafik Grigoryan and discussed with him the issues related to the protection of human rights, as well as citizens' individual complaints concerning these issues.
Then the Defender had a discussion with the representatives of the professorial staff and students of the Gavar State University and representatives of NGOs. The new constitutional regulations related to the mandate of the Defender were presented and current issues related to the right of education, right of property, social rights and activities of NGOs of the marz were also discussed.
Arman Tatoyan met with the citizens and acquainted with their problems at the Gegharkunik regional office of the Human Rights Defender.
