Today, on March 19, the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan received John Wodatch, who is one of the legal experts who drafted the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as the members of the Inclusive Coalition for Legal Reform.
During the meeting, the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, new RA draft on Protection of Rights and Social Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, as well as the mechanisms for the implementation of the law after its adoption and monitoring of the rights of persons with disabilities were discussed.
Highlighting the importance of the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities, the Defender stressed the role of NGOs in their effective implementation.
In the end of the meeting, the parties also discussed the ways and principles of future cooperation.
