On November 22, students of the French university in Armenia participated in the discussion on women in social and economic life. It was jointly organised with the Human Rights Defender’s Office in Armenia and the French Embassy in Armenia.
The Human Rights Defender, Arman Tatoyan, highlighted the importance of women empowerment in social and economic life, as well as reconfirmed his institution’s readiness to assist that process in every manner.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic in Armenia, Jonathan Lacôte, stressed that in their country as well the opportunities for men and women are not equal, and for that reason it is necessary to combine efforts.
During the discussion, the director of Baker Tilly Armenia, Parandzem Gevorgyan, and the president of Winnet Armenia Union, Ruzan Torozyan, presented their success stories and responded to the students’ questions.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria in Armenia, Maria Pavlova Tsosorkova-Kaymaktchieva, was also present at the event.
