On November 20, Universal Children’s Day, the Armenian representation of the organisation “Save the Children” in cooperation with “World Vision Armenia” and the Human Rights Defender’s Office presented the results of a survey “Young Voices”.
The survey in Armenia was conducted among 1200 children from all the ten Provinces and the city of Yerevan. It was aimed at examining and revealing the children’s opinion on such important questions as children’s participation in decision making, in the public and community life, fundamental questions on education, health and security, as well as children’s perceptions, dreams and visualizations of their future.
During the opening speech of the event, the Human Rights Defender of Armenia Arman Tatoyan highlighted the importance of conducting a survey on a topic related to children, and at the same time referred to the worrisome situation in Armenia in respect of child rights protection at special child care and protection institutions, as well as the means of mass media and social network publications about children in general.
