In the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia and RF Human Rights Commissioner, the representatives of RF Commissioner made a special visit to the detention facility where RA citizen Hrachya Harutyunyan serves his sentence: his detention and health condition were examined.
Examination of H. Harutyunyan’s medical records revealed that that he was under medical supervision. Currently, the health care providers evaluate his health condition as satisfactory.
During the meeting, Hrachya Harutyunyan complained of back pains to the representatives of the Commissioner. Based on that, the medical administration of the detention facility reached an agreement according to which in the period between January-February 2017 Hrachya Harutyunyan will undergo the necessary examination and respective treatment at a civil hospital.
In a response letter, RF Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova also informed that the question of protection of Hrachya Harutyunyan’s rights is under special supervision.
