According to the UNICEF statistics, 1/3 of children in the whole world have access to internet, which proves that child’s rights protection in digital environment is of increasing importance.
Children.ombuds.am website dedicated to child’s rights protection was launched as a result of cooperation between the Human Rights Defender’s Office, UNICEF and “Kaspersky Lab” Organization.
The main purpose of the website is awareness raising on child’s rights and legal mechanisms for their protection.
The presentation of the website was on October 6 within the framework of discussion on Child’s Rights Protection in Digital Environment. The Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan, Regional Representative of “Kaspersky Lab” Organization in Armenia and Georgia Armen Karapetyan and UNICEF Representative in Armenia Tanja Radocaj participated in the discussion.
Newly launched website was presented by Eduard Israyelyan, Head of Child Rights Protection Unit at the Human Rights Defender’s Office.
