On May 21, Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan visited the borderline village of Khachik in Vayots Dzor province. The residents raised a number of concerns related to the 4th class emergency houses in the community, lack of water reservoir, drinking water, and other private issues relating to state bodies.
The Defender also got acquainted with the conditions of the community school. The Head of the community and school staff assured that the sewing manufactory on the second floor of the school building would not have a negative impact on children’s rights to education. Moreover, the residents emphasized the importance of providing women with jobs thanks to that manufactory.
All the necessary measures will be undertaken to address the problems raised by the residents within the competences of the Human Rights Defender.
