Today the Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan made an unannounced visit to “Nubarashen” Penitentiary Institution.
In the framework of the visit the Defender had separate meetings with Armen Martirosyan, David Sanasaryan, Andreas Ghukasyan and Arayik Khandoyan.
The aim of the Defender’s visit is to investigate the conditions of theirdetention and ensuring of their rights. As a result of private talks the relevant written requests will be send to pre-trial bodies. A. Martirosyan, D.Sanasaryan, A.Ghukasyan or A. Khandoyan have not presented complaints related the attitude of penitentiary institution administration, detention facilities or medical care.
The unannounced monitoring visit to penitentiary institutions and other places of deprivation of liberty will be continuous.
