Within the unannounced visit to Nubarashen penitentiary institution on 10 May, during a private conversation a person deprived of liberty informed the Human Rights Defender's representatives about beating by the police officers.
Injuries have been found on his body which have been recorded by the Defender's representatives.
All materials drafted at the Defender's Office, including photos of injuries, have been sent to the criminal prosecution body for the immediate initiation of a procedure proscribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
