The RA Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan visited the Member of the RA Parliament Manvel Grigoryan at the detention facility of the RA National Security Service.
The Defender had a private interview with Manvel Grigoryan, the respective documents and detention conditions have been examined. The issues with regard to his health condition and provision of medical assistance have been also examined. A number of issues have been raised and resolved on the spot.
The member of the Parliament has not presented complaints in respect of detention conditions or treatment by the staff of the detention facility. The Detention Facility assures that on the basis of the inquiry, raised by the advocate of Manvel Grigoryan, and in case of necessity, Manvel Grigoryan will be provided with a medical examination by his preferred doctor.
The Defender’s Office is in contact with Manvel Grigoryan’s advocates.
A discussion procedure has been initiated at the Defender’s Office to undertake necessary steps within the mandate prescribed by the law.
