The Human Rights Defender received an application regarding the activities of “Veolia Djur”.
According to the application, the sewage water of the multi-apartment building was flowing into the basement of the building. The residents had on many occasions referred to the company regarding this issue, but no steps were taken to solve the issue.
The Defender’s staff started a discussion procedure and a respective request was sent to “Veolia Djur”.
The company decided to include the sewage line of the above-mentioned building into mandatory structural repair project. As a result of the discussion of the issue by the Defender’s Office, activities aimed at cleaning the basement from sewage water are in process.
