The Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan started an investigation aimed at ensuring the rights of the employees of “Sasstex” textile factory in Gyumri based on his own initiative.
The basis for starting a discussion procedure were both the circumstances presented in the application addressed to the Defender by Deputy of the National Assembly Sofya Hovsepyan, as well as the publications available on mass media and the complaints of “Sasstex” company workers.
The Human Rights Defender’s Office is also in contact with the company workers.
Necessary steps are undertaken in the framework of the initiated discussion within the Human Rights Defender’s mandate.
