The Defender, on its own initiative, started an investigation procedure with regard to publications on the death of Edgar Tsatinyan․
The basis for initiating an investigation was media publications stating that the reason for the death of E. Tsatinyan were the police officers’ actions who apprehended him, and the doctors who treated him.
Upon the instruction of the Defender, the Office contacted those having published information related the incidents
The necessary measures prescribed by law are being taken.
