The Defender’s representatives paid unannounced visits to children's care and protection institutions

From 19 to 21 December the Child Rights Protection Unit of the Human Rights Defender’s Office paid unannounced visits to Gyumri Special School N3, Children's Care and Protection Boarding School N 2 named after Fridtjof Nansen, "Trchunyan Tun" Educational Complex – Orphanage.

 

During the visits, private interviews were held with children, the conditions of children care, as well as admission documents were examined. Representatives of the Defender’s Office paid attention to the sanitary and hygienic conditions of toilets and bathrooms, work of medical staff and etc.

 

Revealed issues were also discussed with the staff of the institution.

 

The results of the examinations will be addressed to relevant bodies.
