The ad hoc report of the Human Rights Defender on the shootings  towards borderline villages of Tavush has been published in English

Today, an ad hoc report of Dr. Arman Tatoyan, the Human Rights Defender of Armenia, on the fact-finding activities conducted with regard to the shootings towards Koti, Baghanis, Vazashen, Chinari, Voskevan and Aygehovit villages of Tavush region has been published in English.

 

The results of the fact-finding activities were presented through a generally accessible map.

 

In the video respective notations were marked on the map by Google Earth programme which show kindergartens and schools, civilian houses and buildings that were shelled in September, as well as shootings at the time when children were dancing in Vazashen.

 

With the sole purpose of protecting human rights and of obtaining credible first-hand information, the fact-finding mission recorded numerous signs of damage. The fact-finding activities show that the shootings are conducted in a manner dangerous for peaceful population, including for the life and health of children.

 

The report that was prepared in English will be sent to international organizations, competent state bodies of Armenia and human rights NGOs.
