Visit to Geghagkunik province: residents in Chabarak city and the Vahan village presented their problems to the Defender

Today, the RA Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan visited the Gegharkunik province. He had a meeting with the Head of province Ishkhan Saghatelyan and discussed the complaints raised by the residents which were addressed to the Defender. The parties expressed readiness to work jointly towards to resolution of the issues raised by the citizens.

 

In the framework of the visit the Defender went to Chambarak city and Vahan village. The residents raised systemic problems, as well as presented individual complaints related to various state institutions. Specifically, the complaints concerned lack of road for transportation, the legitimacy of determining disability levels and the amount of benefits, compensation of deposits into ASSR Khnaybank, rights of military servicemen, etc.

 

Measures within the Human Rights Defender’s mandate will be taken towards the resolution of the issues.

 

It has to be noted that following the Defender’s continuous visits to provinces a number issues raised by the citizens have been resolved.
