The Human Rights Defender has published a guide on consumers' rights and obligations in the sphere of gas supply.
The Guide has been prepared based on the observations of the Defender’s Office, as well as based on results of investigation of complaints and applications addressed to the Defender.
In particular, the Guide focuses on the following key issues:
- How can a consumer of gas company get answers their questions of interest?
- Does the gas company have an obligation to answer to the consumer’s questions?
- Where the gas meter should be installed?
- In what cases can the gas supplier interrupt or terminate the customer's gas supply?
- What rights does the gas supplier have in case if consumer fails to pay for the gas supply?
- How to proceed if you disagree with the payment bills presented by the gas company?
- How to appeal the actions of the gas company?
- In which cases and who can apply to the Human Rights Defender?
