A detainee of the Penitentiary Institution requested the support of the RA Human Rights Defender to have a dental prosthetics free of charge and on favorable terms guaranteed by the State.
According to the applicant, because of many missing teeth, he started to have some health problems. The detainee applied to the Penitentiary Institution’s administration, however, no steps were undertaken to organize the dental prosthetics free of charge and on favorable terms guaranteed by the State.
Within the discussion procedure of the complaint at the Defender’s Office, a written request has been addressed to the Penitentiary Department of the RA Ministry of Justice. As a result, based on the motion of the Penitentiary Department, the detainee received a referral and had a dental prosthetics.
