The Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan visited Head of Asparez Journalists’ club Levon Barseghyan, who is in Nubarashen Penitentioary Institution of RA Ministry of Justice.
The Defender had a private interview with him. With the Defender’s support Levon Barseghyan was transferred to a cell with necessary conditions. He was provided with hygiene items, radio, etc.
A discussion procedure was initiated at the Defender’s Office aimed at taking steps to ensure Levon Barseghyan’s rights to the fullest of the mandate prescribed by the law. Statements with regard to all the questions raised during the interview, including questions related to the grounds of depriving of liberty, will be addressed to criminal prosecution bodies.
