In the scope of the World’s National Human Rights Institutions’ annual high-level meeting in Geneva, a special discussion was held devoted to the role of human rights institutions in business promotion.
In his speech Arman Tatoyan highlighted the importance of issues relating to business promotion at both regional and global levels. The Defender’s plans, based on the international best practices, have also been presented.
One of the main directions of Ombudsman’s activities should be the protection of business from ineffective administration. In this regard, projects promoting private and public sectors’ joint activities are also important. One of such projects may be the establishment of a special council consisting of civil society organizations, which can contribute to increasing the efficiency of the work in this format.
The Defender’s new function concerning the examination of complaints brought against the organizations operating in the field of public service, have also been introduced.
The participants of the meeting expressed their willingness to work together to increase the efficiency of the work and exchange of information.
