The water supply issue was regulated following the Defender’s support

A group of residents from Mher Mkrtchyan Street in Gyumri city, Shirak province, informed the Human Rights Defender that there had been disruptions in their water supply for the past two months.

 

There have also been media publications concerning the issue (see http://armtimes.com/hy/article/116893/ website, as to 5 July 2017 and http://galatv.am/hy/news/198793/ website, as to 15 August 2017).

 

The Defender sent a written statement to RA Public Service Regulatory Commission. The raised issue was resolved, and currently the water supply of Mher Mkrtchyan Street in Gyumri city is provided in accordance with the established schedule.

 

It is intended to provide all day long water supply in the framework of the loan project.
