Department for Protection of Rights of Military Servicemen of the Ombudsman’s office, headed by the Deputy RA Human Rights Defender Hrachya Palyan and a doctor-specialist visited on November 16, 2016, the Central military hospital; of the Ministry of Defense of RA.
Based on the complaints, addressed to the Human Rights Defender, they once again discussed with representatives of the Ministry of Defense and medical personnel of the Hospital the concerns, expressed by the parents of servicemen, related to the proper medical assistance and services, provided to them.
In particular, among the examined medical documents there were papers, related to medical assistance to servicemen, such as preventive, therapeutic and medical aid, diagnostic researches, rehabilitation treatment, military-medical experises, as well the process of treatment of servicemen and their results. During the visit private conversations were also held with a number servicemen, undergoing medical treatment at the Hospital.
The joint works in the mentioned format, aimed at revealing the health status of servicemen at place, as well as visits of representatives of RA Human Rights Defender's office will be held in the future on the regular basis.
