The Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia Arman Tatoyan participated in the Annual Meeting of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions in Geneva.
Exchange of best experience was carried out with participation of national human rights institutions from all over the world, as well as issues related to the persons with disabilities, refugees and entrepreneurs were discussed.
Within the conference, the cooperation of national human rights institutions with The United Nations Development Programme and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights was discussed.
The Defender met with the heads of human rights institutions of other counties in Geneva. During the visit, he also participated in the workshop titled "The Role of National Human Rights Institutions in the Protection of the Rights of Internally Displaced Persons" dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Guidelines.
